FashionUpdate: The MBFWB S/S 2013 looks. Part IV – Thunder and storm.

Hi dear readers,

this post has been in the pipe for a long time, I know and I’m hopefully not to slow with my FashionUpdates, but looking through all the material takes its time and there’s lots of other stuff around to do. So finally I come to Thursday’s shows of Berlin FashionWeek, which were invited to watch.
The day started with the studio show of BLAME, whose beautiful prints we were able to see already at the PREMIUM exhibition, as well as at the GRAZIA show on Tuesday (details concerning that event will follow).

Orange again: a beautiful collection with Asian looking prints.
The flowery print dominated all items of the collection: skirts, dresses and blazers.
My personal favorite is this all-over-look.

In the afternoon MARCEL OSTERTAG presented his dresses – and wore two of them on his own (see video of the opening here and the finale here). He’s a really outstanding designer, although some people said, that his this year’s show was not that innovative as in previous seasons. Nevertheless I really like his collection and the very powerful show.

The key were different shades of red in one outfit: this is my favorite of them.
Additionally there were some symmetric prints in grey…
…and layered dresses from white to beige to black.

Afterwards these shows we made our way to Hotel Adlon, where offsite at the ballroom the collection of the Dusseldorf based label SAVA NALD was presented (designer in chief is the originally Russian Inna Thomas). The show started with a feature film, which — I have to admit — unfortunately looked pretty cheap, but the show was quite nice (as models we saw Bonnie Strange and others walking).

The day ended with a tremendous thunderstorm quaking Berlin – and the IRINA SCHROTTER show, who I introduced earlier on my blog. The originally Romanian designer presented an arabesque in white and sandy colors with orange highlights. It was absolutely overwhelming and a great completion of the day.

Beauty in white: long dresses in combination with large jewelry pieces.
Dramatically as Sex and the City 2: looks like a princess of the desert.
Look for the details…
Fresh, but classy: orange dress with the marvelous matching clutch.

I’m catching up – look forward to the Wednesday post.
xo
