FashionUpdate: The MBFWB S/S 2013 looks. Part I – From Romania with love.

Hi fashion people,

as I promised: the work’s not over yet. Now it’s time to show you the news and tons of photos from the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin and I’ll start right now with the last show we visited on Saturday by the Romanian Designers. It consisted of three parts by three different labels and designers.
First one, twenty(2)too presented some of the most unusual, but in my opinion greatest outfits in combination with masks worn by the models. The cuts were mostly simple and the colors manifold with a little importance attached to beige. My favorite trend were the belly tops, as I have worn it as my Friday’s outfit. Furthermore I adored the fabric and cuts of some of the tops and leggings.

On the catwalk: model in striped belly top and with traditional looking mask.
Second variation of the top in cool mixture with shorts and dress shoes.
This and much more pictures can be found on
My Friday’s look with belly top and studded leggings, together with
Julian from RavenForest. Thanks to Aleksej from Schall&Wahn for this photo.
Although full beards are not my obsession, I liked the top…
…and the matching leggings. The vests, were great, too, indeed.

Second designer, Adelina Ivan, presented monochrome women’s wear with really great cuts, very fine fabrics and some nice graphical prints. Obviously she has a foible for big dots, which dominated the prints and the models‘ makeup.

Great dotted dress with short sleeves. The cuts were classical and elegant and very wearable .
The light grey variation of the dots doesn’t make it look that bold.

As the third designer we saw Patzaikin, who as the only one didn’t let his models walk straight, but in wavy lines instead. The straw hats and accessories seemed to play with the typical ethnic Eastern Europe/ Asian touch, that’s not my favorite, but therefore I really took a shine to the blue-white prints (as tank top, leggings, trousers or overall).

A great wearable and casual summer look.
The leggings‘ print is simply great and the coat is obviously nice, too.
For the brave: all over prints next summer again!

The show was altogether a great event, that closed with soap bubbles on runway and consequently sticked out of all the other more commercial shows.
Unfortunately Saturday seems to be family day on FashionWeek with everybody bringing their children there, why I would strongly recommend to schedule the show on the main days next season.
Thanks a lot and more very soon,
